Durante la giornata visitammo pure il building del giornale “World” dalla cui sommita si gode una bellissima vista a volo d’uccello di New York, della rada Brooklyn e New Jersey ed alla sera un battello ci trasporto a Coney Island che e un luogo di delizie e di spasso per i newyorkesi, distante un ¾ d’ora di battello dalla citta. La vi e un po’ di tutto: baracconi, alberghi, stabilimenti di bagni, teatrini, etc. Un vero paradiso per i bambini. La vedemmo in un’arena dei giochi d’artifizio che per verita non valevan molto ma che enthusiasmarono il nostro Ciceroni ed i buoni newyorkesi.

During the day we visited the “World” newspaper building, from the summit of which there is a beautiful birds eye view of New York. In the evening we took a boat to Coney Island, a place where New Yorkers go for fun and delights, which is about ¾ of an hour by boat from the city. There is a little bit of everything there--booths [rides?], bath houses, theatres, etc. A true paradise for kids. We saw a sports arena, that in reality wasn’t great but would have excited our Cicero and the good New Yorkers. [?]
